Web 2.0 for PR & Marketing ?

What in the world is Web 2.0? New software? Do I need to upgrade my browser? I was never aware of Web 1.0?  The big mystery about the term Web 2.0 is that it is simply a new way of using the internet to communicate - yes, communicate (the full circle). Classic web sites, what are now referred to as Web 1.0 sites, did a good job of 'telling'  the customer about your business or organization.  In the Web 2.0 world, your web site does a little bit of 'telling' and a whole lot of facilitating conversation. Key terms in the Web 2.0 world include: wiki, blog, forum, and a host of others. The bottom line, is that this new way of using the web already has and will continue to shift and change the way the public sees your organization or company.   Happy New Year....
